the niece & uncle duo.
A Family of First Generation Farmers
The origins or this story is unknown. Somehow the niece developed a vision for working with wool. At some point, the uncle owned landed needed livestock to run.
Bailey (the niece) maintains a city office job while splitting her time at the farm. She can’t quite remember the origin of her passion for wool but it’s there and growing. The American sheep industry is (hopefully) her future.
Marc (the uncle) is a PHD-er and professor who listens to jazz, reads Anna Kareneina, drinks whiskey, and doesn’t like people. Now he owns sheep and maintains the classic “grumpy old country guy” affect. Though, when storm or sickness arrives, guess who is the most anxious about the welfare of the animals?
Montana (the "livestock guardian dog) wasn’t really made for work, just love. The ROI on her employment is slightly questionnable. Though, no one has died on her watch. We adore her.

Full Merinos
We purchased our first eight yearlings in December of 2023. Full Merinos birthed in the mountains of Nevada. Those eight ladies are the beginning of our flock.
